Justin Vento started JV2V to help others overcome the problems he has experienced as a teacher and as a student. Justin obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in chemical and biological engineering. He has accumulated 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience and 22 years experiencing life as a student. He serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the chemical and biological engineering department at Villanova University.
Justin attributes his success as a teacher to his emphasis on individualizing education and understanding student hardships. He realized that demanding curriculums make most students experience school as a place of stress and work, while some “varsity-level” students succeed because they instead experience school as a place of opportunity. He believes this “varsity” mindset is obtained by developing key foundational skills such as confidence, purpose, and focus.
At JV2V, we believe students should be able to balance academics with extracurricular activities to explore their passions while developing the skills to achieve their goals. That’s why we emphasize a holistic approach to tutoring where students develop core skills to level up in all areas of life - from academics to sports, hobbies, and passions.
